Matt Zentz launched Marketpath from a small Broad Ripple bungalow in February 2001 with a focus on custom web application development. From there he built the first, basic version of a hosted CMS and called it Webtools. Shortly afterward, he expanded his team and created the first version of Marketpath CMS.
Matt graduated from Indiana University in 1999 with a B.S. in Computer Science and has been building custom web applications since 1995. In his early career, while completing his degree, he taught a computer science class to high school juniors and seniors and worked at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) as an IT consultant and web application developer.
Matt worked for the consulting firm Whitman-Hart/marchFIRST doing Cold Fusion, ASP, Java and SQL development.
Shortly after, Matt took the helm for IUPUI Auxiliary Services as Director of IT and performed planning, research, support, maintenance, and custom development services for its various departments, which included Bookstore, Mail Services, Design & Print Services, Conference Center & Hotel, Food Services, Natatorium, Tennis Center, and Track & Field. This provided a great deal of experience working with the various university profit centers.
Matt is husband to an amazing wife, three beautiful children, and supreme master to Archimedes (Archie) the dog. He coaches various kid sports, loves construction projects and building furniture, and enjoys playing guitar and piano. Matt is very active within his church community and several area not-for-profits.
