    Apple Announces Their Own Business Registry

    If you manage social media or do a little digital marketing, you should ensure you have control over your company's or clients' Google My Business accounts (it's just good practice). Plus, if you optimize a business' listing, especially if local services are provided, you'll improve your local SEO. I'd be remiss if I didn't also include Microsoft's Bing Places

    Improve Largest Contentful Paint (LCP) with Preload

    If you have a website that uses JavaScript to load hero images, (i.e. large banner images) and other resources that need to load earlier than HTML can locate them, add the following to the code:

    <link rel=preload>

    By preloading resources, your page won't have missing resources. This is exactly what Google is measuring with one of their newest page load speed metrics - Largest Contentful Paint (LCP). We're working on a blog post that details LCP and the other web core vitals.
